Caring for seniors is our mission at the Marian Home and Village. Helping each resident live life to its fullest is our number one goal. With our single largest expansion in more than 60 years, we are breaking new ground to provide greater living options, including independent apartments and townhomes in the long-term future, and a new, vastly transformed assisted living facility opening in 2025.

At the Marian Home and Village, we are small enough to truly be a family to our residents, and – like any family – there will always be room for one more. With this growth, we will be able to better serve many more families within our community.

We are beginning a Capital Campaign for a multi-phased building and improvement project here at the Marian Home and Village. It is our largest undertaking in more than 60 years of history and will enable us to serve so many more people with a greater scope of services, all at the professional level of care the community has come to expect from us.

But before we delve into the details, I want to tell you more about the ‘why’ behind this incredible project. It’s very simple: we are doing it for the families — those families we have served in the past, the ones under our care now, and the families we hope to serve in the future.

Let me tell you about the people we see here every day in our long-term care facility and independent living apartments. They build strength at our onsite physical therapy facility, chat with family at the welcoming fireplace, play Bingo in Halvorson Hall, and people of many faiths worship together at our Chapel several times each week.

There is a missing link, an important level of service we have not offered in the past. In the first phase of the Growing for Every Stage of Life project, the Marian Home and Village will open its first-ever Assisted Living facility within walking distance of both our current campus and Holy Trinity Catholic Church at the former Villa Care site. We hope to open 12, sparkling new, affordable, assisted living units in this location as early as 2025.

The need for assisted living in Webster County and the surrounding area is great — and growing every year. I see the need for this project every time a family comes into my office, concerned about their mother who isn’t doing as well in our independent-living apartments as she once had. My heart aches when I visit a woman in her 80s who has been caring for her husband at home but knows in her heart that she can’t do it safely anymore. In many cases such as these, a person may not meet the heavily regulated criteria for a nursing home bed. They need the vital, in-between care of assisted living. Without this new level of care, the family may be forced to move to an entirely different facility or, worse yet, continue to struggle in an independent setting that is no longer providing the safe, healthy, and home-like environment needed.

We want to provide that care. We want to seamlessly deliver care at whatever stage of life a person is experiencing. This project will enable us to provide the professional care and service the Marian Home and Village is known for, in an entirely new setting, close to our campus, and fully a part of our community.

Please consider becoming a part of our Growing for Every Stage of Life capital campaign. We are growing to become of greater service to our community.

Thank you for your consideration.
